David Mark’s Daughter Joins Pro-Tinubu Campaign Organisation

The daughter of the former Senate President, David Mark and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Blessing Onuh has taken a prominent role in a campaign organisation supporting the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Onuh, representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, made the decision following a politically sensitive period as parties and alliances begin positioning for the 2027 general elections.

Onuh’s involvement raises questions about political alignments and unity within the ADC as preparations for the next election cycle intensify.

Her appointment as National Woman Leader of the Take Action Campaign Organisation was announced on Saturday by the group’s Director-General, Tony Nwulu, a former member of the House of Representatives known for sponsoring the “Not Too Young To Run” bill during the 8th National Assembly.

Nwulu presented Onuh’s appointment letter at the organisation’s campaign office in Abuja.

“I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure President Tinubu’s victory at the upcoming election,” Onuh said while accepting the role.

She added that the organisation’s mission is to highlight the achievements of the current administration and educate citizens on the policies being implemented under the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“This organisation is focused on showcasing the various achievements and educating the Nigerian masses on the reforms and policies of Mr President,” she said.

The development comes as David Mark, who currently chairs the ADC, remains a key figure in ongoing efforts to build an opposition coalition aimed at challenging Tinubu in 2027.

The proposed alliance reportedly includes prominent political figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Aminu Tambuwal, Liyel Imoke and Emeka Ihedioha.

However, the coalition has already faced internal challenges. In January, Abba Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, publicly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election.

Although Onuh’s new role does not necessarily signal a change in party membership, political observers say it reflects growing pressure within opposition circles to maintain unity as the 2027 race gradually takes shape.

Meanwhile, Nwulu maintained that the Take Action Campaign Organisation would focus on promoting the administration’s achievements and explaining its policies to voters nationwide.
