Council Boss Declares Interest In Ondo Assembly Seat


The Vice Chairman of Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon Abiola Bodunde Ijimakinwa, has declared interest in the House of Assembly seat for the constituency.

Ijimakinwa, in her letter to the elders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifedore, said her decision to represent the people at the Assembly was borne out of her passion for the development of the constituency.

Her letter read: “This declaration is borne out of my passion for community development and my firm belief that Ifedore Constituency deserves purposeful, transparent, and people-oriented representation.

“Our constituency is blessed with hardworking, resilient, and enterprising individuals, yet we continue to face significant challenges that require proactive and responsive leadership.

“Over time, I have closely engaged with our communities and listened to the concerns of our people. From inadequate infrastructure and limited access to quality healthcare, to the need for improved educational opportunities and youth empowerment, it is evident that we must do more to unlock the full potential of Ifedore.”

Ijimakinwa said that if entrusted with the party ticket, she will advocate for improved road networks, rural electrification, and access to clean water across all communities in Ifedore.

Also, she promised to promote better learning environments, support educational programs, and create opportunities for students to thrive.

Ijimakinwa promised to work towards accessible and affordable healthcare services for all, especially in rural areas, and initiate and support programmes that equip youths with skills, create jobs, and foster entrepreneurship.

The Council boss who had facilitated water to the Isarun community in the local government said she would strengthen support for farmers and small businesses to boost local productivity and economic sustainability.

Ijimakinwa said she would ensure that the voices, needs, and aspirations of the Ifedore people are strongly represented at the State Assembly. She expressed her desire to lead the constituency with integrity, accountability, and inclusiveness.

She said, “I will remain accessible to the people and ensure continuous engagement, because true representation is built on trust, dialogue, and action. This is not just my journey, it is our collective mission to build a more prosperous, equitable, and united Ifedore Constituency.

Meanwhile, the Council boss in her Easter Message to the people said the death of Jesus Christ reminds the people of the triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair, and love over all challenges.

She added that Easter celebration, “Is a season that teaches us that after every trial comes victory, and after every sacrifice comes restoration. This powerful message is not only spiritual but also deeply relevant to our collective journey as a people striving for growth, unity, and sustainable development.”

Ijimakinwa called on the people of Ifedore to embrace love, peace, and togetherness and continue to support one another, uplift the less privileged, and remain committed to building a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
