Construction Kaiser Appoints Stefan Euchenhofer as New CEO


Construction Kaiser Limited, an indigenous construction firm, has announced the appointment of Stefan Euchenhofer as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 3 January 2026.

In a statement, it was noted that the development reflected CKL’s commitment to continuity, strong governance, and a future-focused strategy for sustainable growth.

It stated, “Since founding CKL in 1993, Igbuan Okaisabor has led the organisation from a small indigenous construction start-up into one of Nigeria’s most respected building and civil engineering companies. After 32 years of exceptional leadership, he has initiated a structured transition designed to position CKL for its next phase of expansion and innovation.

“Stefan’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for CKL. His leadership will strengthen our legacy and elevate our capacity for innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth.”

According to the statement, Stefan brings over 30 years of international experience across Europe, Asia, and Africa, including 15 years of experience working in Nigeria.

“His expertise spans building construction, civil and structural engineering, infrastructure delivery, and senior business leadership. He has excelled in project implementation, contract management, cost control, commercial oversight, and turning around underperforming operations. Before joining CKL, Stefan served as Managing Director for several subsidiaries of PERI Formwork and Scaffolding in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Nigeria. In these roles, he delivered significant achievements, including leading successful turnaround missions, improving governance systems, strengthening market competitiveness, and guiding the Nigerian business through both recession and the Covid-19 period while achieving notable revenue growth.

“His earlier career includes senior positions at Dantata and Sawoe Construction Company in Nigeria, as well as at leading international contractors such as Strabag International, Julius Berger Nigeria, and Bilfinger Berger GE, the former parent company of Julius Berger. Stefan’s academic and professional background further strengthens CKL’s leadership capabilities. He holds a Diplom Ingenieur (equivalent to a master’s degree) in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the Technical University Fridericiana Karlsruhe in Germany and an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration from Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University.

“He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and speaks English and German fluently, with working knowledge of French. His appointment positions CKL for a future of stronger operational excellence, deeper innovation, improved project delivery, and enhanced client experience. With his expertise, CKL is better equipped to adopt modern construction technologies, expand market reach, strengthen governance systems, and continue building a sustainable and proudly indigenous company with global standard competence.”
