Colgate unveils new ambassador

Colgate-Palmolive has named actor Ali Nuhu as its brand ambassador for Northern Nigeria following the activation of the ‘Yanga with Your Smile’ campaign in Kano State recently.

In a statement, Colgate noted that the market activation was aimed at raising awareness about oral hygiene and attracted Kano residents who participated in free dental checks.

Colgate’s Regional Sales Manager for the North, Abdul Musa, explained the brand’s choice of Nuhu, citing his influence and connection with the northern audience.

“We are excited to have Ali Nuhu as the face of our brand in the North. His reputation and influence align perfectly with our mission to promote oral hygiene,” Musa said.

He added that Colgate remained committed to helping Nigerians regain their confidence and smile by offering high-quality oral care products.

Nuhu, a renowned figure in both Kannywood and Nollywood, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership.

“I am proud to join hands with Colgate as its brand ambassador. My goal is to use my influence to encourage the use of Colgate products, which effectively address dental issues and improve oral health,” he stated.

Nuhu further urged Nigerians to prioritise their dental health, highlighting Colgate’s effectiveness in combating cavities and other oral issues.

“Based on my experience, Colgate is the number one choice for anyone looking to maintain a healthy smile,” he added.

Colgate added the activation summed efforts to deepen consumer engagement and promote oral hygiene awareness in Northern Nigeria.
