Chris Brown Denied Bail Over Nightclub Attack


Chris Brown was denied bail by a British court and will be held in custody until June 13 after he was charged with assault over an attack in a nightclub.

Brown was accused of grievous bodily harm with intent. He was charged in Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

The alleged assault took place at a venue in London’s Hanover Square on February 19, 2023, and involved an attack on a music producer.

He was arrested by London’s Metropolitan Police in Manchester on Thursday. Brown was due to perform in the UK as part of his tour.

His case was transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London, where he will appear on June 13.

Brown arrived at the dock flanked by court officers. His hair was bleached blonde, and he wore sweatpants and a black T-shirt.

The singer confirmed his name and birth date and said his address was the local Lowry Hotel, where he was arrested.
