Choc City Musician, Tariq Out With New Single


Chocolate City artiste, Tariq is back with a new single titled, ‘Must Have Been’.

For the musician whose real name is Temitope Oluokun, ‘Must Have Been’ is more than just a song. Under it, is an experience with raw emotions, smooth melodies and lyrics that hit deep. Tariq perfectly captures the bitter-sweet experience of what could have been.

With his signature blends of soulful melodies and effortless lyricism, the singer delivers a song that cuts deep, making you rethink love, loss and moments in between.Whether you are reminiscing about what could have been or just vibing, Must Have Been is that song.

Known for his mix of contemporary Afrobeats, pop, hip-hop, and classic R&B, TAR1Q who was signed with Chocolate City Music in March 2024. He said that joining the label was “exciting” and “another new phase in my life”.

His third studio EP, ‘Okada Airlines’ was released in  October 2024, after the song ‘Jigga’ featuring Khaid.
