Business leaders to participate in DBNC conference

Some of Nigeria’s most influential business figures, as well as those outside the country, including Tonye Cole, Paul Onwuainibe, JoEllen Gorg, and Fola Aiyesimoju, will headline the 2025 edition of the Doing Business in Nigeria Conference.

The conference is scheduled for this month under the theme “Navigating the Storm: Thriving in a Transforming Nigeria.”

According to a statement, the conference, which is now recognised as a premier business platform, is set to deliver powerful insights, strategic connections, and transformative opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate leaders operating in Nigeria’s challenging yet promising economic climate.

The Convener and Managing Partner of Maurice Xandra Solutions, Lynda Uneze, said, “The annual conference has built a reputation for uniting the brightest minds driving innovation and resilience in the Nigerian economy.”

She explained that the upcoming edition promises to deepen that impact with a robust agenda that includes keynote speeches, fireside chats, panel discussions, and a high-stakes business pitch competition.

The statement noted that speakers such as “Tonye Cole (Co-founder, Sahara Group), Fola Aiyesimoju (Group MD, UAC of Nigeria Plc), Paul Onwuainibe (Executive Chairman, Landmark Group), JoEllen Gorg (Acting US Consul General), and Iyinoluwa Aboyeji (Founder, Future Africa) will explore critical issues including business sustainability, investment strategy, technology-driven growth, and leadership in a volatile economy.”

It further noted that a major highlight will be the Business Pitch Competition, where emerging entrepreneurs will showcase their ventures before a panel of expert judges.

“A major highlight of the event is the Business Pitch Competition, designed to empower emerging entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship, and investor connections. More than just a competition, it is a launchpad for innovative businesses looking to scale and create lasting impact.

“Finalists will present their ideas before a panel of industry experts, gaining valuable exposure, expert feedback, and potential investment opportunities. The winning entrepreneur will be awarded a funding grant, strategic mentorship, and access to a vast network of business leaders, providing them with the essential resources needed to accelerate their growth and take their venture to the next level,” it stated.

The statement added that with economic uncertainty, global shifts, and rapid digital transformation challenging the business landscape, DBNC 2025 offers the tools, insights, and networks needed to not just survive but thrive.

It further mentioned that attendees can expect valuable guidance on accessing capital, navigating regulatory hurdles, and unlocking new growth sectors.

“Ultimately, DBNC 2025 is more than just a conference; it is a catalyst for growth, innovation, and lasting impact,” the statement stated.

It stated that beyond the pitch competition, DBNC 2025 will feature engaging panel discussions and networking sessions, covering topics such as accessing finance, leveraging technology for competitive advantage, scaling businesses sustainably, and building strong leadership in a dynamic economy.

“Attendees will hear from experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate executives, who will provide firsthand insights on overcoming challenges, identifying new market opportunities, and positioning businesses for long-term success.

“With an exceptional lineup of speakers, a focus on real-world business strategies, and unparalleled networking opportunities, DBNC 2025 is a must-attend event for entrepreneurs, executives, and investors looking to gain a competitive edge in Nigeria’s business landscape,” it stated.
