Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Others Win Multiple Awards


Nigerian musicians, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Tems, Darkoo, Ayra Starr and others dominated the winners’ list at the 2025 Africa Arts Entertainments Awards, AAEA.

The Nigerian music stars won multiple categories at this year’s AAEA Music Awards.

This was announced by the AAEA on its official page.

Wizkid’s ‘Piece of My Heart’ featuring US singer, Brent Faiyaz won the Best Afro-R&B, while Davido and American singer Chris Brown won the Best Global Collaboration award for their song ‘Hmm’.

Asake’s song ‘MMS’ featuring Wizkid emerged the Best Afro-Native award. Also British-Nigerian singer, Darkoo won the award for the Best Diasporan Act with her hit single ‘Favourite Girl’ whose remix features Rema.

Burna Boy was named Overall

Male Artist in Africa. Tyla won Overall Female Artist of the year and Best Female Artist, Southern Africa.
Tems was named Best Global African Female artiste. OdumoduBlvck won the Best Rapper in West Africa award.

Street pop-star, Seyi Vibez emerged Best Male Artist, West Africa, while Ayra Starr won Best Female Artist, West Africa award.

The AAEA awards recognises the achievements of music artistes across the African continent.
