Burna Boy Breaks Silence On Clash With DJ Tunez

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has sparked further controversy after narrating the alleged incident involving him and DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s official disc jockey.

In a recent Instagram Live session, the Grammy-award-winning musician shared his own account of what happened at Obi’s House, a well-known nightlife destination that celebrities frequently visit.

Burna Boy insisted that he acted alone in the incident, rejecting internet rumours that more people were involved.

He said, “I was the only one who beat DJ Tunez, not ten people as alleged,” he said. “I thought he was going to call his squad but he went online to tweet.

“I even waited for another three to four hours but nobody came.”

The singer further claimed he restrained the situation from escalating, despite tensions at the venue.

“I gave him two slaps. I said nobody should touch him. He came with about ten people but they ran away naturally when they saw me.

“I didn’t throw one single blow, neither did he or anybody else.

“They do internet things but I do real life. I thought he was going to call his boss so the boss could act, but his boss only tweeted. That means I just wasted my time,” he added.

The incident, which has been widely discussed across social media, has further fueled conversations among fans of both camps, with many debating the accuracy of Burna Boy’s claims and the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
