Bolt Drivers in Nigeria Earn Over N1.6M Monthly

Bolt, Africa’s leading ride-hailing platform, has disclosed that its top 50 drivers in Nigeria earned an average of N9,662,105 over the first six months of 2025. This equates to a monthly average income of N1,610,351, surpassing the N1.2m monthly average recently reported by competitor inDrive during the same period.

The earnings figure reflects Bolt’s continued commitment to supporting its driver community through a series of incentive programmes, operational enhancements, and driver welfare initiatives designed to ensure a rewarding and sustainable working experience.

General Manager of Bolt Nigeria, Osi Oguah, said, “At Bolt, we are committed to creating economic opportunities for our driver partners. This report demonstrates that consistent engagement on the platform can yield substantial financial rewards. We remain focused on improving the driver experience and ensuring sustainability in the gig economy.”

The N9.6m average earnings over six months are calculated based on gross trip income, inclusive of bonuses and incentives available to drivers who consistently maintain high ratings, accept ride requests promptly, and complete a large volume of trips.

Bolt continues to roll out a variety of programmes to enhance driver wellbeing, including fuel support, safety features, flexible working hours, and reward schemes. These initiatives complement the company’s efforts to improve service quality for riders across Nigeria, reflecting growing urban mobility demands and increasing consumer trust in Bolt’s affordable, safe, and accessible services.

As a critical driver of economic empowerment in Nigeria, Bolt provides thousands of drivers with flexible and scalable earning opportunities while meeting the country’s expanding mobility needs.

Operating in over 50 countries and 600 cities worldwide, Bolt offers a suite of shared mobility services, including ride-hailing, scooter and e-bike rentals, car rentals, food and grocery delivery, and corporate mobility solutions. The platform serves more than 200 million lifetime customers and supports over 4.5 million drivers globally.
