BasketMouth’s Ex-Wife Breaks Silence On Paternity Fraud

Elsie Okpocha, the ex-wife of Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has broken her silence following viral claims about the real reason behind their marriage crash.

The rumours circulating on social media suggested that the couple‘s marriage ended due to paternity deception, asserting that Basketmouth was not the biological dad of Elsie’s kids.

Reacting to the development in her Instagram story, Elsie expressed doubts about the validity of the allegations and whether her ex-husband had actually said anything like that.

“All you Facebook bloggers fabricating lies. Is Basketmouth aware he made that statement?” she wrote.

Rejecting the accusation, Elsie provided a stern caution to content creators disseminating the narrative. Although she acknowledged that public figures frequently encounter misinformation, she emphasised that her children should remain uninvolved in the matter.

“You can fabricate unbelievable tales about me, but please keep my children out of this absurdity!” she remarked. The dispute arose following allegations that the conclusion of her relationship with Basketmouth was associated with parenthood concerns.

The allegation indicated that the comedian found out he wasn’t the father of the kids, a claim that has recently been openly disputed by Elsie. Up to now, Basketmouth has not confirmed the allegation.

Remember that in 2023, Basketmouth revealed the conclusion of his marriage to Elsie in a short statement posted on Instagram. He stressed their dedication to co-parenting their children amicably and urged the public to honour their privacy
