The Anambra State Police Command has embarked on a sanitation exercise and free medical outreach as part of activities marking this year’s National Police Day across the country.
The sanitation exercise and a free medical outreach aimed at promoting community health and strengthening police-community relations in Anambra state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement, “In addition, the Command organised a free medical outreach where officers/residents benefitted from basic health checks and medical consultations”
“The initiative underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to not only ensure security but also contribute to the overall well-being of the citizens”
“To this end, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc minps, PhD, noted that the activities form part of a broader lineup of events scheduled to commemorate the National Police Day on April 7, 2026”
“He emphasised that the Command remains dedicated to community-oriented policing and will continue to engage in initiatives that foster trust and collaboration with the public”
“The Command enjoins residents to continue supporting the Police in their efforts to maintain peace and security across the State” the statement read.
