Alert MFB unveils loan campaign

Alert Microfinance Bank has launched a marketing campaign in Lagos for its newly introduced CleanEarth Loan initiative, aimed at supporting businesses in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector and other eco-conscious industries.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Tuesday, the CleanEarth Loan is designed to provide medium-term funding to small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in environmentally sustainable ventures such as recycling, water purification, cleaning and sanitary material production, and other climate-smart innovations.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Alert Microfinance Bank, Raji Saheed, said the campaign would commence from Lagos Mainland and gradually extend to other local government areas across the state.

“We are committed to ensuring that the CleanEarth Loan reaches businesses across all local government areas in Lagos, contributing to sustainable development at the grassroots level,” Saheed said.

According to the bank, the marketing campaign is not only to raise awareness about the loan product but also to engage communities, conduct surveys, and identify additional ways to promote sustainability and potential corporate social responsibility activities.

In addition to funding, the bank is also providing digital tools such as free POS terminals, NQR pay-with-transfer, and scan-to-pay platforms to enhance financial inclusion and support the digital operations of beneficiary businesses.

According to the statement, the CleanEarth Loan aligns with Alert Microfinance Bank’s commitment to bridging the financial gap for businesses focused on environmental sustainability and helping Nigeria transition toward a greener economy.

The bank said it would continue to expand the campaign to key areas such as Ikeja, Surulere, and Eti-Osa in the coming months.

The PUNCH reported that Alert Microfinance Bank, a subsidiary of Alert Group, has launched the second edition of its Career Bootcamp, reinforcing its commitment to equipping youths with the financial and professional skills needed to thrive in today’s job market.
