Air Peace Hosts Leadership Retreat After Heathrow Win

Air Peace has held a three-day Strategic Leadership and Customer Experience Transformation Retreat aimed at deepening leadership capacity and improving service delivery across the organisation, barely two weeks after it secured the London Heathrow Airport landing slot.

The largest airline in West Africa made this known through a statement made available to The PUNCH on Monday.

According to the statement, the retreat, which took place from Friday, July 25, to Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Lagos, was organised in partnership with Ricchezza Capital Advisors Ltd., a Lagos-based consulting firm known for its expertise in strategic leadership development.

The theme of the retreat, ‘21st Century Transformational Leadership: Building Resilience for Exceptional Customer Experience,’ reflected the airline’s commitment to staying ahead in an increasingly competitive global aviation market.

Anchored by the Managing Consultant at Ricchezza, Mr. Udeme Etukeyen, and co-facilitated by a renowned communications strategist, Dr. Uche Nworah, the programme featured a lineup of guest speakers, including Mrs. Oby Roberts, a prominent customer experience consultant; Mr. Joseph Edgar, former Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency; Capt. Roland Iyayi; and Botswana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Philda Kereng.

The statement noted that “the retreat offered more than just lectures. It was a space for reflection, peer exchange, and strategic alignment, allowing our leadership team to reassess the airline’s vision in a customer-first aviation landscape.”

Additionally, with its Heathrow achievement marking a new chapter in its international operations, Air Peace says it is prioritising internal capacity-building as a strategic lever for growth.

“Our commitment goes beyond flying passengers; we are dedicated to creating memorable experiences at every touchpoint,” the airline stated.

Air Peace has been steadily expanding both domestically and internationally, even as it views staff development as key to sustaining its service standards and competitive edge.
