Agbeyewa Farms Advances Its Global Cassava Vision

Agbeyewa Farms Limited has said it will advance its vision to build a globally competitive cassava ecosystem rooted in cultural heritage, partnership, and sustainable prosperity through its third annual Ekiti Traditional Rulers’ Retreat.

According to a statement, the firm will host the retreat on 15 April 2026, at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and Conference Centre in Ekiti State, as part of efforts to deepen collaboration between traditional institutions and modern agribusiness.

Agbeyewa stated, “Beyond a convening, the retreat represents a strategic alignment between tradition and enterprise, reinforcing Agbeyewa’s vision to build a globally competitive cassava ecosystem rooted in cultural heritage, partnership, and sustainable prosperity.”

The company added that the event, now in its third year, had become a flagship platform for engaging traditional rulers and fostering partnerships to drive community development, food security, and inclusive economic growth.

It noted, “Agbeyewa continues to lead a bold transformation of Nigeria’s cassava value chain, spanning cultivation, aggregation, processing, and agro-trading, while creating sustainable livelihoods and empowering rural communities at scale.”

The firm explained that its role as the agricultural supply engine for the Matna Cassava Industrial Platform underscored its commitment to accelerating cassava industrialisation in Nigeria.

According to the company, the integrated platform is anchored on three pillars: security of supply through large-scale cultivation and community partnerships, processing scalability, and market expansion driven by global partnerships.

Agbeyewa said the retreat would convene traditional rulers, government officials, and key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, adding that Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji is expected to declare the event open.

It added that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, will serve as Royal Father of the Day, while the Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Dr Adejimi Adu, will lead other monarchs.

The company further stated that the Vice Chancellor of Venite University, Prof. Charity Aremu, would deliver a keynote address on ‘Driving Economic Transformation Through Sustainable Agricultural Development’.

Agbeyewa added that the programme would also feature a strategic session on Cavista Holdings’ food and agriculture industrialisation platform, which integrates agricultural supply, industrial processing, and global market access to drive the next phase of cassava transformation in Nigeria.
