The PRP team was led by its National Chairman, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, and includes qComrade Muhammed Ishaq, the party’s National Publicity Secretary.

On the side of the ADC were the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, and chieftain of the party, Mallam Salihu Lukman.

A statement posted on PRP Whatsapp platform, said the party “Expressed strong solidarity with the ADC regarding its ongoing dispute with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other government institutions.

“The party unequivocally condemned the assaults and anti-democratic actions being directed at the ADC by certain forces, emphasising that such conduct undermines our democracy and jeopardises the nation’s stability.”

It added that”the meeting underscores the commitment of both parties to fostering unity and resilience in Nigeria’s democratic process.”

Mark on his part, expressed the hope that the positive relationship between the two parties would remain harmonious, prioritising the collective interests of the nation.

There has been calls for opposition political parties to work together against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
