ADVAN unveils online marketplace

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria has launched ADVAN-X, an online brand marketplace to connect stakeholders and drive innovation.

ADVAN President, Osamede Uwabanwem, announced this during a virtual press briefing, describing ADVAN-X as a hybrid platform offering both virtual and physical networking opportunities, according to a statement.

Uwabanwem said, “ADVAN-X offers a dynamic hub for brands and service providers to form meaningful connections, access cutting-edge marketing solutions, and drive innovation.”

The platform, which features tools such as interactive partner profiles, lead generation forms, and analytics dashboards, aims to foster collaboration and address industry challenges such as fragmented connections and limited access to decision-makers.

Uwabanwem called the initiative a “transformative space breaking down silos and enabling long-term success across the marketing ecosystem.”

ADVAN stated it will celebrate the launch by hosting the ADVAN Partners Innovation Day on November 27, 2024, in Lagos.

The event is themed “Connect, Innovate, Elevate,” and will showcase marketing innovations and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

The exhibition will open at noon, followed by a panel session at 2:00 pm.

Attendees will engage with experts, explore innovative marketing strategies, and participate in a special presentation of Kantar’s Blueprint for Brand Growth, a globally recognised framework for brand development. Admission to the event is free.

Uwabanwem also addressed the ongoing challenges posed by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, highlighting ADVAN’s legal efforts to reform the regulatory environment.

“Advertisers face daily harassment from an arbitrary regulatory system imposed by ARCON, which is detrimental to the entire marketing ecosystem,” he said.

He called for structural reforms, urging ARCON to establish a council as stipulated by its laws.

“We will continue to push for an equitable and thriving marketing industry that benefits all stakeholders,” Uwabanwem added.
