ADVAN honours Capital Express chairman


The Advertisers Association of Nigeria has awarded the Chairman of Capital Express Holdings Limited, Anthony Aletor, her first Industry Leadership Award in recognition of his business leadership.

According to a statement, Aletor received the award at the ADVAN African Awards for Marketing Excellence 2025, recently held in Lagos.

The trustees of ADVAN, alongside ADVAN President Osamede Uwubanmwen and Chief Executive Officer Ediri Ose-Ediale, handed the award to Aletor.

While presenting the award, the organisers emphasised its significance, stating, “This will be the first time we will be giving this award, and I am happy to announce that you are the first winner. History is being made today, and may you continue to be the first in all your endeavours.”

The event attracted prominent dignitaries, including the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole. Other award recipients included the founder of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; the founder/chief executive officer of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Stella Okoli; the chairman of GIC Motors, Diana Chen; and Air Peace Limited’s CEO, Allen Onyema.

In his acceptance speech, Aletor dedicated the award to God, his family, and the Capital Express team. He also acknowledged his wife’s support and others who contributed to his success.

ADVAN hailed Aletor for his business leadership and philanthropy, noting his investments in insurance, investment banking, shipping, and mining.

According to the statement, the Capital Express Chairman’s contributions to business and philanthropy earned him the Commander of the Order of the Niger award.

Aletor is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a degree in insurance. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ibadan. He is a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, the Chartered Insurance Institute (London), and the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru.

Aletor serves on the boards of several leading companies, reinforcing his reputation as an industry leader.
