Addosser MFB Aims for National License on 17th Anniversary

Addosser Microfinance Bank has revealed that it has set its eyes on acquiring a national license and expanding its digital footprint as it marked its 17th anniversary.

In a statement on Tuesday, the MfB said these were part of its future goals.

Since its inception in 2008, Addosser said it had remained steadfast in its mission to improve lives by supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, a vital engine of the Nigerian economy.

The Managing Director, Bayo Fabiyi, remarked that “the future of finance is personal, fast, and inclusive. At Addosser, we are ready for that future, and we will continue to build a brand that empowers people and creates lasting value.”

The bank added that as it looks to the future, it is focused on scaling by obtaining a national license and increasing its digital footprint.

In terms of its achievements, the lender said that it makes a monthly disbursement of N5bn to over 5,000 beneficiaries and was recently named SME Bank of the Year by the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria in recognition of its role in supporting entrepreneurs.

In addition, the bank successfully registered an N10bn commercial paper programme in the first series to raise N2bn. It was oversubscribed by 160 per cent. Its branch network has also continued to expand across Lagos with the opening of its 26th branch in Oshodi.

The MFB is also set to launch its digital banking product, Atlas Digital Solution.
