ACCI Advocates for a Vibrant Business Environment

The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chief Emeka Obegolu (SAN), has extended felicitations to the business community in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs, as well as to all members of the chamber, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In a statement signed by the Media and Strategy Officer, ACCI, Olayemi John-Mensah, Obegolu congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period marked by devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and spiritual renewal. He noted that the values of patience, integrity, and perseverance demonstrated during the fasting period are equally essential for building sustainable and thriving businesses.

The president commended the resilience, commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit of the business community, particularly in the face of prevailing economic challenges. He encouraged businesses to remain steadfast, innovative, and optimistic, emphasising that their contributions are vital to economic growth, job creation, and national development.

Obegolu, leader of the Organised Private Sector in the FCT and its environs, further urged members of the business community to continue fostering unity, collaboration, and ethical practices in their operations, noting that collective effort is key to overcoming challenges and unlocking new opportunities.

While acknowledging the efforts of the government at various levels, the ACCI president called for sustained and enhanced support for the business environment. He emphasised the need for policies that promote ease of doing business, improved access to finance, infrastructure development, and a stable economic climate that enables enterprises to thrive.

“As we celebrate Sallah, let us renew our commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity. Together, with the right support and a shared vision, we can build a more vibrant and resilient economy,” he stated.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and Council of the ACCI, he wished all members and the wider business community a peaceful, joyful, and prosperous Sallah celebration.
