Bago Praises Bala Mohammed’s Governance During Condolence Visit

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has lauded the leadership and developmental achievements of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, during a condolence visit over the death of elder statesman, Alhaji Ahmadu Laushi.

Governor Bago, who led a delegation from Niger State to Bauchi on Wednesday, said he came on behalf of the government and people of his state to sympathise with Governor Mohammed, the bereaved family and the people of Bauchi State over the passing of the respected community leader.

Describing the death of Alhaji Laushi as a significant loss, the Niger State governor said the deceased lived a life dedicated to service and left behind a legacy that would continue to inspire future generations.

While offering his condolences, Bago took time to commend Governor Bala Mohammed’s performance in office, noting that Bauchi State has continued to witness remarkable progress under his administration.

According to him, he has closely followed Governor Mohammed’s political journey from his days in the National Assembly to his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and now as governor, describing him as a leader whose achievements have consistently set a benchmark for others.

“I have always admired and learned from his leadership. Bauchi State continues to raise the bar in governance and development, and I am proud of what Governor Bala Mohammed is doing for the people of the state,” Bago said.

He added that despite being relatively new in office, he remains committed to learning from experienced leaders such as Governor Mohammed in order to deliver greater dividends of democracy to his people.

Governor Bago prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Alhaji Ahmadu Laushi and asked God to grant his family, Governor Mohammed and the people of Bauchi State the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed appreciation to the Niger State governor for the visit and solidarity, describing the gesture as a reflection of the cordial relationship and mutual respect between the two states.
