Associates Hold Special Prayers For Kwara Speaker

Pray for his gubernatorial victory in the 2027 poll

Political associates and friends of the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, who is also the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, have held a special prayer session to commemorate his 41st birthday anniversary.

The special prayer session, held at the Central Mosque, Idi-Ape in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, and led by the Imam Maraba of Ilorin Emirate, Aliyu Olayinka Gbamuragaji, drew a massive turnout of dignitaries, including members of the State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen, party stalwarts, and supporters, seeking divine blessings and protection for him ahead of the 2027 general elections.

It would be recalled that the venue itself holds deep significance in the rich history of the Ilorin Emirate. The old Ilorin Central Mosque is the same ground that once hosted the legendary Sheikh Alimi and other revered men and women whose lives left indelible marks on the sands of time.

According to Imam Maraba, prayers offered at the old Ilorin Central Mosque carry added weight — it is akin to standing where the righteous once stood, in the company of those who understood and believed that leadership without God is a dangerous path.

Extolling the virtues of patience, loyalty, and compassionate leadership that Speaker Danladi embodies, Imam Maraba noted that the celebrant’s strong faith in Allah has been a powerful force behind his consistent triumphs, adding that returning to Allah on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, at such a symbolic place of worship in the heart of Ilorin, further demonstrates the deep connection Speaker Danladi and his supporters have established with their Creator.

While praying for the success of the 10th Assembly Speaker’s gubernatorial ambition in 2027, Imam Maraba also offered special prayers for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration, for peace, unity, and a more prosperous Kwara State.
