Phyna Drops Surname ‘Otabor’ In Search Of Family Identity

Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ season, has made the startling decision to drop her surname, Otabor, after discovering that she has no familial ties to the name.

In a recent social media post, Phyna shared her emotional journey, stating, “I am publicly dropping my family surname OTABOR. It has been proven that I actually have no family, and nobody knows how I came about this name. I’m still searching for answers… it’s been rough for me lately. I find it hard to describe how I feel or what I’m going through right now.”

Reflecting on her upbringing, she expressed, “Growing up and being tossed around among relatives, I should have suspected something was amiss, but I guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!!!”
