Okpebholo Decries Condition Of EBS

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo yesterday decried the condition of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBC), promising to put the station in proper shape.

He made the pledge when he inspected the station 48 hours after Suleiman Aledeh resigned his appointment as Managing Director. Aledeh resigned after being redeployed to the Edo State Orientation Agency as its pioneer Managing Director.

Okpebholo said the station deserved better than the dilapidated state he found it in. He said: “I am in pain to see this. But I did not come here to complain. I came to fix it.”

Okpebholo outlined immediate and long-term measures to restore the station, adding that designs for a complete facility rebuild were already completed.

He said: “The transmitter my administration purchased will work. “We will solve the power problem. We will provide the mobility you need. And we will rebuild this station.”
