The Federal Government has reaffirmed its policy direction for a more stable and efficient national grid management. This was highlights of meeting between the Special Adviser to the President on Power, Mr. Lanre Babalola and the management of Nigerian Independent System Operator, NISO, aimed to align reforms around reliability, transparency and operational discipline.
The meeting, held May 29 at the Nigerian Independent System Operator Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, was led by NISO Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Abdu Bello Mohammed.
Strategic discussions centered on the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening the national grid through reforms targeting operational efficiency, transparency and overall system stability.
Babalola outlined the administration’s policy thrust for the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry: prudent resource management, enhanced operational discipline, and sustained efforts to reduce system disturbances.
