First Lady Inaugurates N1bn ICT Centre At EKSU, Promises More

Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has assured residents of Ekiti State that the state will benefit more from the current administration through developmental projects in education, agriculture, healthcare and empowerment.

Senator Tinubu gave the assurance on Saturday in AdoEkiti while commissioning a N1 billion Information and Communication Technology Experience Centre at Ekiti State University, EKSU.

“The Centre is designed to improve digital learning, innovation and research for the students,” she said.

She explained that the project was initiated by the Office of the First Lady in partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative and sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund.

“It forms part of efforts to reposition tertiary education in Nigeria through technology and Artificial Intelligence-driven learning,” she said, adding that the facility represents one of the Federal Government’s educational interventions under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Senator Tinubu said the partnership with TETFund under the Renewed Hope Initiative would create educational opportunities and equip young Nigerians with digital skills for the future.

She added that Ekiti residents should expect more interventions in agriculture, healthcare and empowerment programmes.
