Businessman Ibrahim Koleosho Clinches NDC Ticket For Lagos

Ahead of the 2027 general election, Businessman Ibrahim Koleosho has emerged as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Koleosho secured the party’s ticket after polling 16,560 votes during the constituency’s primary election.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the NDC flag bearer described his emergence as a demonstration of the confidence party members and supporters have in his leadership, vision and commitment to community development.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters, Koleosho said the outcome of the primary represented more than a personal achievement, describing it as a victory for ordinary residents seeking responsive and effective representation.

“While my supporters are still celebrating the outcome of the election across the constituency, I want to say that my emergence is a victory for the youths, market women, artisans and residents who desire a new direction in representation,” he said.

The candidate also thanked party leaders, delegates, ward executives and members of the NDC for their support throughout the process, pledging not to take their confidence in him for granted.

Looking ahead to the 2027 election, Koleosho said his campaign would focus on inclusive governance, youth empowerment, education, infrastructure development and improved welfare for residents of the constituency.

According to him, the needs and aspirations of the people would remain at the centre of his political agenda.

Political observers, he noted, believe his emergence has strengthened his prospects in the forthcoming election, citing growing support across communities within Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II.

Many residents, he added, view him as a grassroots politician with a clear understanding of local challenges and the determination to pursue practical solutions through effective legislative representation.

“With this victory, my sight is now set on the general election, carrying the hopes and aspirations of thousands of supporters who believe that a new era of leadership is possible for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II.

“The journey has begun. Together, we will build a better and stronger Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II,” he said.
