Adefarati Greets Muslims, Urges Fervent Prayers For Nigeria

The House of Representatives member representing Akoko SouthEast/Akoko Southwest federal constituency, Adegboyega Adefarati has felicitated the Muslim community on the celebration of this year’s Eid al-Kabir celebrations.

Adefarati in a message he personally signed to commemorate the festival urged the Muslim brethren to celebrate modestly and as well remember Nigeria and her leaders in their prayers.

According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir allows us to reflect on our obligations as brothers and sisters. It’s a time of love and unity, and we must endeavour to foster unity during this season. Our brotherhood should be an identity for us to preserve, and we must do our utmost to ensure that we remain united as a nation.

“There is no doubt that our nation is going through fragile and delicate times, but we should not allow the labour of our heroes past to be in vain. We have more to gain when we remain united than we gain in division. Nigeria is blessed with both human and natural resources, and we must harness these for her greatness.

“As lovers of our nation, I beseech our Muslim brethren to be more fervent in prayer and seize the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to seek Allah’s face and intervention. The present insecurity challenges that are bedevilling our nation call for sober reflection to pray for those who are in captivity and for God to soften the hearts of their abductors.

“To the families of the Oyo kidnapped school children, our prayers are with you. By the grace of the Almighty, they shall all return safe, hale and hearty. Both federal and state governments are putting in place appropriate measures to ensure their safety.

“And I therefore implore the families not to lose hope in the frantic efforts of the government at ensuring their release. As they say, security is everybody’s business and we must all join hands to support and encourage our intelligence and security agencies to ensure that the threat to life is kept at the barest minimum. It is only in the atmosphere of peace and love that our nation can flourish and prosper, and this we must all prioritise.

“As we celebrate, let us continue to pray for our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and other leaders at different levels. Praying for them is by extension praying for the success of Nigeria, and I can assure us all that we shall definitely prevail and surmount the seemingly insurmountable. On this note, I celebrate our Muslim brothers and wish them a happy Eid al-Kabir,” Adefarati concluded.
