Premier League winger, Mohamed Salah, signed off from Anfield with one last record as Liverpool secured Champions League qualification with a 1-1 draw against Brentford on the final day of the season.
The Egyptian teed up Curtis Jones’ opener with his 93rd Premier League assist for Liverpool, a club record, in what was an emotional farewell alongside Andy Robertson.
The point was enough to confirm fifth place and a return to Europe’s top competition.
Salah came close to marking the occasion with a goal early on, smacking the left post with a 19th-minute free-kick.

Rio Ngumoha also went close for Liverpool, while Kevin Schade had a one-on-one effort smothered by Alisson before the break.
The moment came in the 58th minute when Salah surged down the right and delivered an outside-of-the-boot cross for Jones to tap in.
But Liverpool couldn’t hold on. Six minutes later, Jones deflected Keane Lewis-Potter’s cross into the path of Schade, who stooped to head home the equaliser.
Brentford pushed for a winner that would have taken them into Europe. Igor Thiago dragged a late shot wide, and Dango Ouattara headed over in stoppage time after Caoimhin Kelleher had denied Florian Wirtz.
The draw leaves the Bees ninth, missing out on a European spot on goal difference to Brighton.
For Liverpool, the result caps a season that ends with Champions League football secured. For Salah and Robertson, it was a fitting send-off in front of the Anfield faithful.
