Kalu Congratulates Tinubu For Clinching APC Presidential Ticket

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Kalu described the President’s overwhelming victory at the APC’s primary election as a clear indication of the confidence reposed in his leadership by party faithful across the country.

The Deputy Speaker, who is the Abia State APC Collation and Returning Officer for the Presidential Primaries, also expressed gratitude to the party members in the State for voting massively for the President.

He said: “I was not surprised that Mr President secured the ticket by a landslide. He is massively loved by our party members because of his courage, vision, and the reforms he has initiated to reposition Nigeria.”

The deputy speaker commended President Tinubu for his bold steps in stabilising the economy, tackling insecurity, and driving critical infrastructure renewal under his Renewed Hope Agenda.

He noted that the president’s commitment to inclusive governance and youth empowerment has further endeared him to Nigerians.

“President Tinubu has proven to be a unifier and a statesman. Under his leadership, the APC remains strong, united, and focused on delivering democratic dividends to all Nigerians,” he added.

Kalu expressed optimism that the same unity and overwhelming support demonstrated at the APC’s primaries will be replicated at the polls in 2027.

“I have no doubt that Nigerians will vote massively to return President Tinubu for a second term to consolidate on the gains of his first tenure and complete the work of rebuilding our great nation,” the deputy speaker said.
