APC Leaders Storm Abuja ICC As Tinubu Receives Certificate Of Return

Abuja is currently witnessing a surge of political activity as officials, delegates, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converge on the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre (ICC) ahead of the nationwide presidential primary collation exercise and presentation of Certificate of return to President Tinubu by the party.

The venue on Sunday recorded heavy presence of party stakeholders and accredited delegates as the APC prepares to conclude the collation of results from its direct presidential primary conducted across all the 36 states.

Security was reinforced around the conference centre as top party officials and participants arrived for what is expected to be a decisive stage in the party’s internal democratic process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Earlier in an official press statement by the President’s spokesman, the APC confirmed that President Bola Tinubu will be presented with the party’s Certificate of Return and flag as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The statement, issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, noted that the Presidential Primary Elections Committee will carry out the presentation at the same venue after final collation of results.

The event is expected to attract APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, the National Working Committee, federal lawmakers, and other top party leaders.
