…Judges exercise as peaceful, orderly, transparent

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) on Saturday, rallied massive support for President Bola Tinubu during the APC presidential direct primary election in Oyo State.

Senator Alli who was announced as the winner of gubernatorial primary, spoke after casting his vote at Ward 3, Ibadan North Local Government Area, describing the exercise as peaceful, transparent, credible and orderly.

He said the process had been free and fair, expressing satisfaction with the conduct of party members and electoral officials during the exercise.

According to him, there is no other presidential candidate in the APC apart from Tinubu, whom members were determined to support overwhelmingly.

Senator Alli said Tinubu deserved re-election because of the bold reforms, as well as, policies introduced to reposition Nigeria’s economy and strengthen governance.

He said the administration had successfully tackled fuel scarcity, improved infrastructure nationwide and introduced NELFUND to ease students’ access to higher education loans.

Alli acknowledged that some Nigerians were still complaining about economic difficulties, but noted that no government could satisfy everybody at the same time. “We have never had it so good in Nigeria. With the foundation already laid, President Tinubu deserves another term to continue the good work,” he said.

He added that efforts to unify the exchange rate had eliminated multiple foreign exchange windows, saying the development had strengthened confidence in the economy.

Alli, who expressed optimism that the APC would reclaim Oyo, said Nigeria was now recognised among the world’s fastest-growing economies.

Speaking on the result of primaries held in the state, Alli said that official results of the primaries would be announced by the party’s National Secretariat latest by Sunday.
