Osun To Enroll Monarchs, Spouses Into Health Insurance Scheme


The Osun Health Insurance Agency has commenced arrangements to enroll all traditional rulers across Osun State and their spouses into the State Health Insurance Scheme.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary, Osun Health Insurance Agency (OHIS), Dr. Rasaq Akindele and made available to journalists in Osogbo, on Monday. According to him, the initiative was in line with the directive of the Governor Ademola Adeleke.

He said: “This initiative is a clear demonstration of the unwavering commitment of Governor Adeleke towards ensuring qualitative, accessible and affordable healthcare delivery for every resident of Osun State irrespective of social status, class or background”.

Akindelr further stated that the present administration remains passionate about the health and wellbeing of the people, hence the decision to extend the benefits of the State Health Insurance Scheme to revered traditional institutions across the state.

According to him, the agency has already put necessary machineries in motion to ensure a seamless enrollment exercise.
