Yusuf Buhari Wins APC Reps Primary In Katsina


Yusuf Buhari, son of late former President, Muhammadu Buhari has emerged winner of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency, Katsina State held on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Following the announcement of the results, Buhari expressed appreciation to delegates, party leaders, and supporters across the constituency for what he described as an overwhelming show of confidence.

In a statement shortly after the exercise, he said the victory represents a collective mandate aimed at advancing the interests of the people through effective representation and development-focused leadership.

“I wish to sincerely thank the delegates, party leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency for the overwhelming confidence and support,” he said.

He added that the mandate would serve as a foundation for promoting unity, growth, and inclusive development across the constituency, pledging to work closely with party members and residents to justify the trust placed in him.
