Ogundoyin Leads Oyo Lawmakers To Meet APM Governorship Candidate, Adekanmbi


The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Debo Ogundoyin on Wednesday morning led other lawmakers to a breakfast meeting with Bimbo Adekanmbi, the consensus governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the state.

The meeting, held at candidate’s residence in Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan, focused on the political future of Oyo State, party unity, and the need to sustain good governance.

According to the Speaker, discussions also revolved around strengthening progressive leadership and building on the achievements of the current administration under Governor Seyi Makinde.

Adekanmbi, during the engagement, shared insights on governance, grassroots development, and the collective responsibility of political leaders to ensure continuity in delivering dividends of democracy.

The meeting was described as productive, with both parties emphasizing unity, mutual respect, and a shared vision for the continued progress of Oyo State.

The Speaker stressed the importance of placing public interest above personal ambitions, noting that collaboration among political actors remains key to strengthening democratic values and institutions in the state.

He added that Oyo State is on a path of sustainable growth, expressing optimism that with unity and purposeful leadership, the state’s future remains promising.
