APGA To Disqualify Aspirants Without Original Certificates, Voter’s Cards


There is growing panic among aspirants for the State and National Assembly tickets of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) following the directive that those without originals of their documents would not be admitted into the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja for screening.

At the moment, aspirants likely to be affected by this directive are currently making frantic efforts for the party to reconsider its stand on the matter.

However, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, in a statement, noted that there is no going back on the party’s decision, adding that he that most go to equity must come with clean hands.

The statement noted, “This is to inform all APGA Aspirants scheduled for the 2026 Screening Exercise that no aspirant shall be screened without the following documents ”

“Original Certificate of your Highest academic qualification – for physical sighting.

“Original Permanent Voters Card (PVC) – for verification of membership and eligibility”

The party further warned that it would not accept affidavits in place of those documents.

“Note that photocopies or affidavits will not be accepted in place of originals. Any aspirant who fails to present both documents will not be admitted into the screening hall.

“Screening remains free of charge. Do not pay anyone under any guise. Please comply strictly to avoid disqualification at the gate” the statement read.
