Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has commissioned an ultra-modern bus terminal in Etinan Local Government Area, commending Council Chairman Uko Umoh for driving grassroots development through projects aligned with the states’ ARISE Agenda.
Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Frank Archibong, the governor said the bus terminal and empowerment scheme reflected purposeful leadership focused on rural development, economic empowerment, and peoplecentered governance.
“Your responsiveness to the needs of the people is evident in these impactful projects aimed at enhancing transportation, commerce, and economic growth in Etinan,” the governor said.
“On behalf of the government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I commend your commitment to grassroots development and urge others to emulate your selfless leadership.”
Eno also charged beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme to make productive use of the items received and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure and inclusive governance.
Dignitaries at the event, including political leader Isangntim Kenneth Okon, Attorney General Uko Udom, House of Representatives member Paul Ekpo, Paramount Ruler Edidem Akpanobong, and Etinan lawmaker Uduak Ekpo Ufot, praised Umoh for redefining grassroots leadership through his
“New Etinan is Possible” vision. ALGON Chairman and Uyo Council boss, Uwemedimo Udo, commended Umoh for prudent management of council resources and lauded Governor Eno for entrenching visible good governance across the state.
