LG Offers Free Comprehensive Health Plan For Nigerian AC Custo

LG Electronics has expanded its corporate social responsibility footprint in Nigeria, transforming its original malaria insurance programme into a full-scale healthcare support system through a strategic partnership with AXA Mansard Health.

Originally launched to combat a disease that accounts for roughly 26 percent of global malaria cases, the initiative now offers comprehensive medical coverage to eligible customers who purchase selected LG air conditioners.

The AXA Mansard-powered plan covers a wide range of common and uncomplicated conditions, including malaria, uncomplicated typhoid, acute febrile illnesses, upper respiratory tract infections, mild cough, mild bronchial asthma, diarrhoea, dysentery, abdominal colic, worm infections, skin and eye infections,

dermatitis, furunculosis, lacerations, bruises, musculoskeletal pains, myalgia, urinary tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and other uncomplicated bacterial, fungal, parasitic, and viral infections. General Manager of the Eco Solutions Division at LG Electronics Nigeria, Mr. Joonkyu Song, said:

“This initiative reflects our understanding of what truly matters to Nigerian consumers beyond the products they purchase. We began by addressing malaria because of its widespread impact, and today we are proud to take this initiative further by offering more comprehensive health coverage.”

Beyond healthcare, LG’s Air Conditioner portfolio delivers innovation tailored to Nigeria’s climate, including the DUALCOOL™ series with Dual Inverter Compressor technology for faster cooling and reduced energy consumption, smart control capabilities for remote management, Mosquito Away™ technology using ultrasonic waves to reduce mosquito presence indoors, and the stylish ARTCOOL™ series that combines sleek design with air purification.
