Adeleke Says His Re-Election Unstoppable As Davido Drums Support

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his re-election on August 15th is unstoppable by the grace of God and the people of the state.

Global music icon, David Adeleke, better known as Davido also joined the governor to canvass for mass support for his re-election, saying, “My uncle has delivered”

Addressing transport management system leaders at the Imole house on Tuesday afternoon, the governor said the opposition is labouring in vain with their desperation and campaign of falsehood, affirming that “Osun people have sworn not to go back to the dark days.

Accompanied by the global music icon, David Adeleke (Davido), the governor, according to a statement signed by his spokesperson Mallam Olawale Rasheed and made available to journalists in Osogbo, on Tuesday, narrated the performance of his administration from education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and digital economy, declaring that “those claiming not to see our great works and performance have the people to contend with.

“The people are our witness when it comes to performance in office. Our government has positively touched all sectors and regions of the state. The people who voted us into office have repeatedly confirmed our excellent deliveries in the last four years.

“Our people experienced the APC times; they are comparing our tenure with the locust years of the APC. By God and man, I will be re-elected to continue the good job we are doing for the Osun people.

“The opposition APC seeks to crash our government through financial strangulation. They diverted over N300 billion of local government funds, money meant for local workers. Despite their evil act, our government survives.

“We are sure that those squandering LG funds will end up in jail. Those inflicting untold hardship on the Osun people will have their day of reckoning. We have delivered to our people, Osun won’t go back to the dark days.

“The APC destroyed Osun state during their days in office. Our government is rebuilding what it destroyed, yet the APC is seeking power through the back door. The opposition has failed”, the governor told the cheering Okada riders.

Davido, who was cheered repeatedly by the Okada riders, said the governor has performed and deserves to be re-elected.

“I task you to go out and mobilise for my uncle. His re-election is in the best interest of Osun state”, the global music legend declared.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the motorcyclists wing of the transport management system, Sikirulahi Ayobami (Ado Igbonna) commended the governor for his many projects and programmes across the state, declaring “ we are enjoying your government”

Speaking in the Yoruba language, Mr Ayobami recounted several projects of the administration, adding, “ our members are your top campaigners across Osun state”
