Kwankwaso called on his supporters and other Nigerians to align with the NDC in what he described as a renewed push for good governance and true democracy.
The development comes amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with key figures exploring new platforms and alliances.
According to Kwankwaso, the decision was driven by a commitment to creating opportunities for citizens to thrive, urging Nigerians to rally behind the new platform.
It will be recalled that Obi and Kwankwaso recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to pursue their political aspirations before a recent internal crisis that ensued within the party thus leading to their exit from the party.
