Gov Fintiri To Join Adamawa North Senatorial Seat


Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has now accepted to contest for the Senate seat in the Red Chamber of Adamawa North Senatorial District.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor is expected to formally declare his intention on Saturday, May 2, after extensive consultations and in response to widespread appeals from the good people of M5, consisting of Madagalli, Maiha, Michika, Mubi South and Mubi North

The event is scheduled to be held at the Government Lodge Mubi on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, at 10:30 am.

Governor Fintiri commends the courage, resilience, and unwavering solidarity of the people of Adamawa North.

He recognises their sacrifice, their commitment to peace, and their enduring hope for a better future.

“To the good people of the M5, I extend heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence reposed in me over the years. I pledge to carry that trust with humility, responsibility, and renewed dedication to services”, the statement added.
