APC Govs Rally Support For Oyebanji’s Re-Election

At least seven All Progressives Congress (APC) governors yesterday arrived in Ado Ekiti to rally support for Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s campaign kickoff ahead of the June 20 governorship poll.

They are Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Aiyedayiwa (Ondo), Ahmed Ododo (Kogi), Lucky Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Umar Bago (Niger), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta) and Uba Sani (Kaduna).

The event at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion was witnessed by ex-Ekiti State Governors Ayodele Fayose, Kayode Fayemi, Segun Oni, and Niyi Adebayo. The APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) also attended the occasion.

Uzodinma urged support for Oyebanji and Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, saying the Oyebanji administration is “very impactful and deserving of another term”.

He described Oyebanji as “a unifying figure who had fostered peace and development in the state”. The APC National Campaign Council Chairman Sani praised Oyebanji’s achievements in fiscal discipline, education and infrastructure, noting that over 1,000 classrooms had been rehabilitated under his administration. Senator Opeyemi Bamidele said the gathering was a reflection of the widespread confidence in Oyebanji’s leadership, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.
