Leadership platform unveiled to drive mindset transformation

A publisher and mindset stylist, Dr Tewa Onasanya, on Thursday unveiled two new books alongside a leadership platform aimed at promoting mindset development and intentional living.

The books, ‘Convince Yourself First’ and ‘Rule Your Mind’, were launched at an exclusive event in Lagos. It also featured the introduction of the ‘Mindset Leadership Initiative’, a programme designed to equip individuals with tools for clarity, confidence, and self-mastery.

The gathering drew prominent figures from the public and private sectors, including Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, who chaired the occasion; a former Acting Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, Dr Waheed Olagunju; a former Chairperson of Access Bank Plc, Mosun Belo-Olusoga; a Lagos State Governor’s aide, Titi Oshodi; and a performance coach, Abiola Salami.

Speaking during a fireside chat, Onasanya emphasised the role of mindset in achieving success, urging participants to take deliberate control of their thoughts and beliefs.

She said individuals must first convince themselves before expecting external validation, stressing that internal alignment was critical to personal and professional growth.

Drawing an analogy, she noted that just as people are conscious of their outward appearance by carefully picking the clothes they wear, they must also be intentional about their inner dialogue and mental focus.

“We must restyle our minds daily. The same way you pick what to wear to look good on the outside, you must pick your thoughts to feel good on the inside and, from that place, take aligned action,” she said.

The newly unveiled Mindset Leadership Initiative, according to her, will provide a structured platform for individuals seeking to develop self-awareness, purpose, and leadership capacity through mindset mastery.

In his remarks, Mamora commended Onasanya’s contributions to personal development and leadership discourse, noting that such initiatives were vital for nurturing responsible and forward-thinking leaders.

The event marked another milestone for Onasanya, founder of Exquisite Magazine and the ELOY Awards Foundation, as she signalled plans to expand the initiative beyond Nigeria through an international tour.
