A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwafemi Fadairo, has pledged to drive inclusive development and strengthen grassroots representation if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Fadairo, whose ambition continues to gain traction, pledged in Akure while receiving strong endorsement from members of the Non-Indigenes Assembly (NIA) drawn from Ondo State and across the South-West geo-political zone.
Addressing the group, Fadairo said his decision to contest was driven by the need to bridge developmental gaps and ensure that all segments of the constituency feel adequately represented.
He outlined the key priorities of his agenda, which include infrastructure development, youth and women’s empowerment, and expanded access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.
According to him, “I am committed to building a constituency where no group feels left out. Development must be inclusive, and representation must reflect the diversity of our people.”
Fadairo emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and people-focused policies.

He also appreciated the Non-Indigenes Assembly for endorsing his candidacy, describing the gesture as a reflection of growing confidence in his leadership.
The APC aspirant, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement (Central) to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and as Director of Administration in the Senate during the ninth Assembly, highlighted his experience in governance.
His words: “I have the political experience and understand the needs of our people. I assure you that I will not let you down. We will invest in non-indigenes and ensure they have a befitting place for their meetings. You will be carried along in policy decisions and empowerment programmes.”
Fadairo promised to facilitate projects that would improve road networks, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and attract federal presence to the constituency.
The President of the Non-Indigenes Assembly, Mr Isaac Okita, described Fadairo as a bridge-builder capable of uniting residents across ethnic and cultural divides.
He said Fadairo’s track record in public service and grassroots engagement makes him a credible candidate for effective representation in the House of Representatives.
Okita also called on Governor Aiyedatiwa to support Fadairo’s aspiration, describing him as the right candidate for the constituency.
His words: “We are non-indigenes, but we thank God that we are making progress as residents here in Akure. Our businesses are thriving and there is peace. When we see something good, we must appreciate it and this is why we are demanding that a round peg be put in a round hole this time around.
“The reason is that we have not seen the impact of representation since the 10th Assembly in Akure North and Akure South. This is the right time for Mr Governor to give us a man we can trust. A man we can complain to and who would listen. A man that we can reckon with and can elevate the people. A man who can make a difference in this constituency and it is not any other person than Hon. Fadairo Dennis Oluwafemi.
“This is the person, that we the Non-indigenes in Ondo state and in Akure North and Akure South, want for the seat of House of Representatives and it is why we are endorsing his candidacy as our choice.”
He noted that non-indigenes contributed significantly to the economic and social development of the constituency and should not be excluded from governance, pledging to mobilize support for Hon. Fadairo ahead of the APC primaries and the 2027 general election.
