Real Madrid Join Barcelona, Atletico In Osimhen Transfer Race

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to rival both FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid in the race to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, as interest in the striker continues to grow across La Liga.

Since the start of the year, Osimhen has been strongly linked with moves to Barcelona and Atlético, with both clubs expected to overhaul their attacking options.

Barcelona are believed to be considering the sale of Ferran Torres as part of plans to bring in a top-class striker who can complement Robert Lewandowski in attack.

At Atlético Madrid, there is also uncertainty surrounding the futures of Alexander Sørloth and Julián Álvarez, both of whom could depart in the summer. The club reportedly views Osimhen as an ideal replacement capable of leading their frontline.

Despite ongoing considerations from both clubs, Real Madrid is now said to be monitoring the situation closely and could make a decisive move. Reports indicate that Los Blancos are keen to recruit a natural number nine, having faced inconsistencies in attack this season.

With the club looking to strengthen key areas of the squad, Osimhen has emerged as a prime target, setting the stage for a potential transfer battle among Spain’s top sides.

Real Madrid Join FC Barcelona In Victor Osimhen Transfer Race

Signing Victor Osimhen will be far from straightforward for Real Madrid.

The Super Eagles forward is widely regarded as one of the top strikers in world football, having showcased his quality across leagues in Belgium, France, Italy, and now Turkey.

On the international stage with Nigeria national team, he has also maintained an impressive return, scoring 35 goals in 52 appearances.

A player of Osimhen’s calibre naturally commands a significant fee. Galatasaray secured his services from Napoli for around €70 million, meaning any interested club would likely need to exceed that figure by a considerable margin. Earlier reports have suggested that the Turkish side could demand as much as €150 million for the prolific striker.

However, a recent valuation by CIES Football Observatory places his market worth closer to €104.7 million—a figure that could be seen as relatively manageable for a club of Real Madrid’s financial strength.

Beyond his price tag, Osimhen’s attributes make him an attractive prospect. His strong goal-scoring ratio, pace, and physical presence would add a new dimension to Madrid’s attack, while his aerial ability offers an additional threat in the final third.

Still, whether a move materialises remains uncertain. The Nigerian forward has often expressed his affection for Galatasaray and has previously spoken about his admiration for the Premier League.

Even so, the appeal of joining a club like Real Madrid remains a powerful factor that could influence any future decision.
