Air Peace Maintains West Africa Aviation Leadership


Air Peace Limited has again been named Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline of the Year at the 2026 Nigerian Aviation Awards, marking its second consecutive win in the category.

The recognition, announced at the NIGAV Conference Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, highlights the airline’s continued leadership in regional aviation and its commitment to operational excellence, route expansion, and seamless connectivity across West Africa.

Widely regarded as a key platform for recognising excellence in the aviation industry, the NIGAV Awards celebrate outstanding performances and innovation across Nigeria’s air transport ecosystem. Air Peace’s repeat win underscores its consistency in setting standards within the subregion.

Speaking on the achievement, the airline’s spokesperson, Mr Osifo-Whiskey Efe, described the honour as “a validation of the airline’s strategic focus on strengthening intra-African connectivity and enhancing passenger experience.”

He added that “the recognition reinforces Air Peace’s mission to bridge cities, foster economic integration, and elevate the standard of air travel within West Africa.”

The airline noted that the award also reflects “growing confidence in Air Peace’s ability to deliver reliable, safe, and customer-focused services within the sub-region”.

Air Peace further stated that the award underscores “its sustained commitment to operational excellence, route expansion, and seamless connectivity across the West African corridor”.

With a growing network and continued investment in fleet modernisation and service delivery, the carrier is consolidating its position as a dominant force in regional aviation, shaping the future of air travel across West Africa.
