Martell’s ‘Swift Ascendant’ Art Installation Arrives Abuja

Following its launch in Lagos, the nationwide “Martell on the Move” campaign has reached Abuja, featuring a 14-foot art installation called “The Swift Ascendant.”

The piece, made entirely from discarded scrap metal, was created in collaboration with Nigerian artist Dotun Popoola. The installation is a physical representation of the swift Martell’s emblematic symbol of freedom and constant motion.

The brand encourages viewers to identify as “Standout Swifts,” individuals who rise above the ordinary to forge their own paths.

The Abuja leg of the tour marked a key stop at Fuego Lifestyle, where guests experienced the installation alongside curated music and signature cocktails. The event aimed to blend Martell’s heritage with a contemporary, industrial aesthetic.

Marketing Director at Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Evane Chenuet, said: “We brought The Swift Ascendant to Abuja because the city understands ambition, audacity, and what it means to push boundaries.

Working with Dotun Popoola allowed us to create something that feels raw and real, reflecting the House of Martell’s 300-year legacy of challenging the status quo.”
