Tinubu’ll Defeat ‘Coalition Of Stateless Leaders’, Bwala Tells Atiku

A former aide to Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and now special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy communication, Daniel Bwala, has reacted to recent remarks made by his former principal regarding a proposed political coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Atiku Abubakar who spoke during an interview on Arise News, said that with a strong coalition candidate, President Bola Tinubu would be “dead on arrival” in the next presidential election.

Responding to the remarks, Bwala dismissed the claim, noting that Atiku himself had previously contested with significant political backing but still lost the 2023 presidential election to President Tinubu.

In his reaction, Bwala pointed out that Atiku Abubakar had the support of governors, states, and established political structures during the 2023 elections, yet was unable to secure victory.

He added that those same political structures are now largely aligned with President Tinubu.

“My former boss @atiku said “with a coalition candidate, President Tinubu @officialABAT is dead on arrival. Lol

“But we know you are the coalition candidate YET (no vex sir), he defeated you in 2023 when you had governors, states, and structures. These governors, states and structures are with him.

“With a coalition of aggrieved  “STATELESS” leaders, I doubt if President Tinubu would bother to check the scoreboard on the day,” Bwala said.

Also during the interview, Atiku hinted that 2027 will be his final attempt to become Nigeria’s leader, citing his age and the high stakes involved.
