Nasarawa Assembly Speaker Urges Youth To Be United, Peaceful


The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau, has urged young intellectuals and people of the state to unite for the peace and progress of the state.

This is as he urged them to show love and remain united, irrespective of their affiliations, for the overall development of the state.

The Speaker, who made this call while playing host to the Kokona Young Intellectual Forum in his office on Tuesday, tasked them with hard work.

He noted that the state Governor Abdullahi Sule has done a lot for the people of the state, and stressed the need for the people of the state to continue to support him.

” Let’s all support His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.  He has done well, and he has a passion for development,” the Speaker said.

The Speaker also appreciated Gov. Sule for his all-inclusive leadership in the state and appreciated the forum for endorsing him for the seat of Karu/ Keffi/ Kokona Federal constituency come 2027.

” With this endorsement from you and by God’s grace, I will win my election,” he said.

Speaker Jatau assured the group of determination to continue to provide quality representation at the state legislature.

He said that he would continue to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency, urging the people of the state to continue to live in unity, peace and harmony.

Earlier, the Leader of the group, Mr Silas Gyar informed that the visit was to appreciate the Speaker for the good work he is doing for the people of his constituency and the state at large.

” And to appreciate you for supporting governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed in the state,” he said.

Gyar who passed a vote of confidence on Speaker Jatau over his good leadership style, also decorated the speaker as the Patron of the forum.

Gyar assured the Speaker of their prayers and support at all times.

” We are endorsing you for the position of Karu/ Keffi/ Kokona Federal constituency come 2027,” he said.
