Troops Nab 15-Year-Old Who Took Part In Killing Of Gen. Braimah, Others

Troops of Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have nabbed a 15-year-old boy, who identified himself simply as Tijjani, for being part of the terrorist group that killed General Oseni Braimah, one other officer, and two soldiers in Borno State.

Tijjani made the confession in a video after he was captured by the troops on Sunday on his way to purchase food for his group.

Braimah, the Commander of 29 Task Force Brigade under OPHK, and others were killed on Thursday. This was during an attack on their base by elements suspected to be Boko Haram Terrorists. In the video, Tijjani confirmed that he was arrested on Sunday at Ngamdu in Borno State.

The 15-year-old boy, who spoke in Hausa language, said he was among the terrorists that attacked Benisheik and Ngamdu on Thursday. He added: “Before the attack, we came from Jilli and returned there after the attack.

“I was sent from Jilli yesterday with N850,000 to collect some logistics from Ngamdu, but I was arrested by troops. Yesterday (Saturday), I left other fighters, my colleagues, at Jilli. I don’t know what happened to them there.”
